• Offshoring jobs
  A fascinating Harvard study which found the number of job types in the US that can be offshored is higher than earlier estimates of 22-29% (about 25-30 million jobs).  Chances are the same is true for Australia, given we have an open economy similar to US. Perhaps, the big difference is Australia is touted as an offshoring destination. Gartner ranks Australia ahead of India and China as a favourable destination to relocate jobs.  Offshoring jobs has been off the media radar for a while, but it is definitely growing.  Deloitte’s report on Offshoring trends and ACS policy paper on offshoring IT jobs.
